Aqua-Chi

I tried something brand new today! I got an Aqua-chi treatment. One of my yoga clients has an Aqua-chi machine and she has been encouraging me to stay for a treatment and today was the day!

The premise to the device is that the frequency emitted from this smallish machine- an elaborate set up of rings and plastic that actually sits in-between your feet submerged in water- puts out enough energy to facilitate an elimination of the buildup of toxins within the body. When these toxins are removed the body moves energetically into a more balanced state, a state required for profound healing to occur. So yes. I definitely was up for the healing and to create more balance in my body!

The machine works off electrical energy- it is actually plugged in-the hot water feels good as my feet submerge in the ankle deep water. I witness color. At first I believe the colored water of an orange tinge comes from the dirty San Diego Tap water. Then to my surprise the water keeps getting brighter and brighter orange. I refer to the Aqua-chi color chart. Just as I had suspected (for I had briefed myself on the color association before hand) joints were my issue. I would have to say that would be the most obvious choice for me taken from the list of many colors and body parts given. My yoga practice keeps my joints challenged. In my practice now I am having consistent shifting and movement within my hips and low back.... yes as a result somewhat achy sore back syndrome...but all in a good healing sort of way. Pain is relative and part of the healing process of letting go.

Time goes by (the entire session will last 40min) and I look again the water has become green like bile, and if that was not enough, slimy foam has also appeared. Disgusting, I can not believe this stuff is coming out of my feet! The bubbling foam according to the trusted chart is associated with the lymphatic system, meaning possibly mucus buildup, of course not actual mucus just the indication of lymphatic drainage. Then the green refers to the gall bladder, urinary tract and reproductive organs. Very interesting...

Mary my yoga client (owner of said machine) actually states an increased energy for her day after having a treatment. Therefore twice to three times a week she sits in the Aqua-chi foot bath at the start of her day! More testimonials on the aqua-chi site.

For me the experience was so so relaxing. I felt like I was going to fall asleep right then and there in Mary's kitchen. I not only felt relaxed but also centered, comfortable at ease, a sense of well being that permeated the whole body. The entire experience was quite revealing and I can't wait to do it again! This next time as I get my feet wet, I expect Rainbows to come out!
