Oprah's New Book Club Pick-Eckhart Tolle's-A New Earth

I am so elated to hear about Oprah's new book for her book club is Eckhart Tolle's, A New Earth. With the vast audience Oprah has she can literally reach millions of dedicated and loyal fans. With this book choice she is clearly playing a key role as a facilitator toward the "new earth" that Tolle predicts for our global community.

Her ability to excite and inspire humanity by announcing such a writing as his, gives validation of the powerful transformational healing current that is present now on our planet. A barometer in a sense of the evolution of humanity, the microcosm reflecting the macrocosm.

The part that is so profound for me is the fact that we are becoming aware of the distinct differences between spirituality and religion

With this knowledge of spirit seeping in to our collective consciousness on an intimate level, through personal and experiential ways, we can plan to see an incredible shift upon our planet. A energetic movement with significance and meaning that goes much deeper into the unconscious than traditional religious practices. To put it in Tolle's words, these quotes from page 17 and 18 of the book apply:

"Many people are already aware of the difference between spirituality and religion. They realize that having a belief system-a set of thoughts that you regard as absolute truth-does not make you spiritual no matter what the nature of those beliefs is. In fact, the more you make your thoughts (beliefs) into you identity, the more cut off you are from the spiritual dimension within yourself."

"The new spirituality, the transformation of consciousness, is arising to a large extent outside of the structures of the existing institutionalized religions"

...a growing number of followers of traditional religions are able to let go of identification with form, dogma, and rigid belief systems and discover the original depth that is hidden within their own spiritual tradition at the same time as they discover the depth within themselves. They realize that how "spiritual" you are has nothing to do with what you believe but everything to do with your state of consciousness,"

This means that we are all innately responsible as individuals on an individual level to discover spirit within ourselves however that may be. As we take on this significant role in awakening the planet we are in essence discovering ourselves. What a beautiful thing. Thank You Oprah for allowing us to move into a Quicken of this process toward a New Earth.
