Practice Yoga for Japan's Relief Efforts~ is "Ahimsa" (1st Limb of Yoga)

Yoga Events this Sunday to support relief efforts in Japan

Everybody is invited to share love and support our japanese friends who really need help in these hard times after the earthquake and the explosion of the nuclear centre in Fukushima.

You can meditate sitting with the hands in your heart, or you can dance, sing, paint…anything which makes easier to share your beauty and love. The important thing is to focus your intention on supporting Japan.

The meditation lasts 15 minutes and starts on Saturday 19/3/2011 at 12.00 pm (afternoon), italian time zone. If your time zone is different, please check the different timing to meditate at the same time we do (www.worldtimeserver.com). If for any reason you can’t do it at that time, do it at any time is more comfortable for you.

It is also an invitation to pass from individual consciousness to collective consciousness, because our japanese friends are not far away, THEY ARE HERE...sharing this beautiful planet with us.

Don’t leave them alone, let's connect all together to send love and support them.

Please come join us at Prana this Sunday for a special Prana Yoga Event for Japan
donation only Hatha Yoga class to benefit the victims of the devastation in Japan. 100% of the money raised will go to the Red Cross Japan Relief fund. The class will be taught by Stefanie Gaines accompanied by harpist Cheryl Angela. Please forward this email to friends & family.
We hope to see you there!

Please join La Jolla Yoga Center Event for Japan in a donation based yoga class at 12:30 on Sunday, March 19th. LJYC Instructor, Yuko Nishikawa, will teach in support of raising funds for her native country.

This class is dedicated to our friends in Japan who recently suffered a massive historical earthquake and tsunami and are now in danger of a nuclear power plant meltdown. Let us unite our support for Japan, keeping hope in the midst of some much loss.

Instructor Yuko Nishikawa writes: " I'd like to take this opportunity to remove our stress, anxiety, and really energize ourselves and fill ourselves with love- when we are full, then, we have so much to give to others, and send love and energy to Japan. "

All donations will go to American Red Cross.

Wonderful idea...a creative way to support Japan in this great time of need. Our prayers carry powerful energy to help transform our planet which is in a time a significant awakening.

Yoga: a powerful medium to carry our collective intention for healing, well being and change.

In the 8 Limbs of yoga this is:

1. Ahimsa – Compassion for all living things
The word ahimsa literally mean not to injure or show cruelty to any creature or any person in any way whatsoever. Ahimsa is, however, more than just lack of violence as adapted in yoga. It means kindness, friendliness, and thoughtful consideration of other people and things. It also has to do with our duties and responsibilities too. Ahimsa implies that in every situation we should adopt a considerate attitude and do no harm.
