We hope to see you there!
Please join La Jolla Yoga Center Event for Japan in a donation based yoga class at 12:30 on Sunday, March 19th. LJYC Instructor, Yuko Nishikawa, will teach in support of raising funds for her native country.
This class is dedicated to our friends in Japan who recently suffered a massive historical earthquake and tsunami and are now in danger of a nuclear power plant meltdown. Let us unite our support for Japan, keeping hope in the midst of some much loss.
Instructor Yuko Nishikawa writes: " I'd like to take this opportunity to remove our stress, anxiety, and really energize ourselves and fill ourselves with love- when we are full, then, we have so much to give to others, and send love and energy to Japan. "
All donations will go to American Red Cross.
Wonderful idea...a creative way to support Japan in this great time of need. Our prayers carry powerful energy to help transform our planet which is in a time a significant awakening.
Yoga: a powerful medium to carry our collective intention for healing, well being and change.
In the 8 Limbs of yoga this is:
1. Ahimsa – Compassion for all living things
The word ahimsa literally mean not to injure or show cruelty to any creature or any person in any way whatsoever. Ahimsa is, however, more than just lack of violence as adapted in yoga. It means kindness, friendliness, and thoughtful consideration of other people and things. It also has to do with our duties and responsibilities too. Ahimsa implies that in every situation we should adopt a considerate attitude and do no harm.
